" I worked with Dena on two press fellowship programs through a partnership between Malaria No More and the International Center for Journalists. Our first program took place in late 2015 and our second program in mid 2016, both of which took journalists to various countries to report on malaria. From my first meeting with Dena, I could see her enthusiasm for her work and her dedication to forming a lasting partnership. From there, we tackled organizing week-long trips involving many logistics and moving parts. This planning was quite difficult at times, and required a substantial amount of forward thinking and then flexibility on the ground. However, Dena is organized, prompt, driven, direct, and sharp when it comes to carrying out a plan. She is extremely thorough in her work and considerate of the reputation her organization has in the health field.
